Mark Sawickis is an underground metal music LEGEND! Before forming the highly influential horror film inspired Death Metal and Grindcore band IMPETIGO (with Stevo, his infamous partner in slime!), Mark was the writer and editor of his own fanzine UNIFORCE. The zine was a melding of both the crossover/hardcore/punk scenes and the growing thrash, death metal, and grindcore movement of the time. From 1986 to 1989, Mark released 7 issues of UNIFORCE zine to the underground and it became an instantly legendary fanzine that captured the moments and times of its day, featuring interviews with some of the most cult classic bands ever in underground music history, as well as hundreds of album, demo, and live show reviews, along with a treasure trove of old flyers, advertisements, photos, and more!
